I bought over 300.00 in Siemans satellite phone system last Nov 07. It is now about an hour behind in keeping the time. There is no mute. The button used for the mute function is a hold button. And the worse thing about this phone is that if I get a call downstairs and it's for my son upstairs - he can not pick up his extension and take the call (not even when using that supposive mute button). I have to tell the caller to hang up and call again till my son answers or I have to go upstairs and hand him my phone. This system is a big disappointment. If you're heavy handed - the keypad will start to lose it's sensitivity.

Just started using it and so far it is okay. I have experienced a slight echo. I haven't heard any churping. The biggest problem is that it has no mute button. You can put people on hold but you can't mute yourself. Also, no message light that I can see but the book says there is. Not worth the price.

Pretty good at first but then trouble started. The phone has an echo to it that times that will drive you crazy. The person on the other end can hear it too which also makes it annoying. You will never know when you have new messages b/c there is no message light on the phone. The phone is also very lightweight so it is extremely difficult to hold it in your ear with no hands - it just drops to the floor. It needs to have more substantial weight to it. Last but not least, this phone kept my husband and I up at nights because the horrible thing 'chirps' while in its base - at odd times. Just when you are sleeping, it begins chirping and wakes you up. We boxed them up after dealing with this for two weeks.
